TCLtv+ Premieres Award-Winning AI Short Film ‘Memory Maker’
The cinematic short, directed by Nik Kleverov and produced by Native Foreign, explores memory, emotion, and AI—now streaming exclusively on TCLtv+.
TCLtv+, the flagship ad-supported streaming service from electronics leader TCL, has premiered the acclaimed AI-driven short film Memory Maker—now available to stream in the platform’s growing Originals collection.
Directed by Nik Kleverov of creative agency Native Foreign and based on his original story concept, Memory Maker imagines a future where artists paint human memories to help androids feel alive. The concept was further developed with collaborators Jimmy Mosqueda, Chris Regina, and Daniel Smith, blending sci-fi vision with AI-generated storytelling.
The film has already gained significant traction on the festival circuit, winning multiple awards:
1st Place – Lambda Competition, and 2 top honors at Project Odyssey
2nd Place – ElevenLabs AI Competition
Best Narrative Short – The Innovators Film Festival
Best AI Film – Atlanta AI Film Festival
Industry platforms have praised the film, with ElevenLabs calling it “a masterpiece,” and Curious Refuge describing it as “a fantastic AI short film.”
“This film has been received so warmly by respected and talented members of our global community,” said Catherine Zhang, VP of Content Service & Partnership at TCL. “We’re so pleased to be able to showcase this innovative original film for TCL’s audiences.”
Kleverov added: “Memory Maker is an example of how AI tools are allowing our studio, Native Foreign, to double down on Originals and explore bold new narratives. I’m excited to feature it on TCLtv+ to reach new audiences.”
Memory Maker is also notable for being the first AI short to premiere as a “fast follow” to a major TCLtv+ release—Next Stop Paris—highlighting the platform’s growing commitment to original, AI-driven storytelling.
The short features voice talent from Bechir Sylvain and Claudia Christian, with AI artistry led by Syver Lauritzsen, Alex Russek, August Kamp, and Nik Kleverov.
What This Means
With Memory Maker, TCLtv+ signals a serious push into AI-assisted storytelling, merging emotional depth with cutting-edge production techniques. By positioning it as a “fast follow” to Next Stop Paris, the platform is embracing a release strategy often reserved for high-priority content—suggesting that AI-driven films aren’t just experimental, they’re central to its programming identity.
This also reflects a larger industry trend: AI isn’t just a behind-the-scenes tool—it’s becoming a storytelling force in its own right.
The fusion of artistry and artificial intelligence here feels like a memory worth making.
