Man Trades Truckload of Beer for 2-Day Crack Binge with Hooker
Source: Newswire

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- A truck driver who reported being hijacked, tied with duct tape and drugged while the hijackers drove around town selling the beer from his truck finally comes clean.

The police were skeptical about Dorie Daniels' story (a driver for an Indiana trucking company) because they had received about a dozen similar complaints in the past two years.

It appears he was an easy mark for drug dealers. "The people that try to run this scam don't really care what's in the trailer," said Capt. William Colarulo of the South Detectives Division. "There's a market for just about anything. They just try to target a weak person. In this case it just happened to be a lot of Bud Light."

"After a debriefing by our detectives, he [Daniels] finally did admit that he wasn't hijacked but got tied up with a prostitute at the truck center and went on a two day crack binge, and when it came time to pay, he didn't have enough money to pay for his two days of enjoyment."

When Daniels ran out of money Colarulo said he offered his truckload of Bud Light as payment.

The load of 2,156 cases of beer was valued at approximately $45,000.

Daniels was charged with making a false report to the police, theft of the beer, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.
