(LONDON, UK) -- ''Porn stars have never looked this elegant and sexy,'' Scarlett Revell says. ''As they are when they're walking through Venice, proud, in latex outfits by Atsuko Kudo.''
Revell commissioned Kudo, creator of outrageous latex costumes for Lady GA, among others, to dress the international cast of Revell's "Sex in Venice," her second movie for London's Harmony Films.
The "Sex in Venice" stars Britain's Samantha Bentley, "Russian Princess" Hennessy, Coco, and Mia, along with globetrotting porn dudes Marco Banderas and Tony DeSergio.
"They were like Pied Pipers," Revell says of the women, each of whom wore a latex creation tailored specifically for her. "Tits out, people following them across the Rialto Bridge, photographing them. My mouth was open the whole time, because they just turned it on. Just to see them walking is so powerful."
Revell says the clothing upped the ante for the women, who were concurrently shooting "Young Harlots in Venice" for Harmony director Gazzman.
"I dress the girls like I would dress myself," Revell says. A Brooklyn transplant by way of L.A., Revell now lives in London and gives Harmony a female perspective; just as hardcore, she says, but more stylish.
"I look at the earrings, the line of the stocking, every aspect of her dress," Revell says. "If you saw one of my girls in a hotel I want guys to be stopped in their tracks. Like if you saw a model from a Vogue magazine who wasn't anorexic."
Revell says the latex dresses were a welcome surprise for the cast, used to the same wardrobe of porn-standard lingerie.
"These Atsuko Kudo dresses are just beautiful, and the girls look so sexy in them," Revell says, "But for the most part women have much higher standards for each other. I'll sit down and go over every aspect of the costume to make sure that she looks as beautiful as she can. Because I've got to be turned on by it, too."
"Sex in Venice" will arrive this summer from Harmony Films.
