Myles' Weekend Adventures: PSK, Comic Book Live
Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. Okay people, this column will once again be about beautiful people, some not quite so professional singing, and some great laughter. So, of those people out there who are curious enough to do so, let us now make our merry way down the path of the written word.
Pornstar Karaoke Club
Tuesday, December 4, I went to Sardo's Grill and Lounge, in Burbank, to spend a good part of the evening observing the antics of the people who turned out for Pornstar Karaoke Club.
Among the great people in attendance during this night whom I knew were: Trinity St. Clair, Nicki Hunter hosting the event as usual, the legendary Ron Jeremy, Tessa Lane, Constance 'Connie' Le, Siri, Tee Reel, Lucky Starr, and K. Wang.
Additionally, real life sisters Natalia Starr and Natasha Starr were in attendance. And I finally got around to introducing myself to them. I even went so far as to give them both a business card.
Also there hanging out during the evening were Kurt Lockwood, and Vanessa Naughty. However, I still didn't manage to get around to introducing myself to them. What's worse is that both of these people have been there at the same time as I at other times in the past.
Comic Book Live
Saturday night, December 8, I drove up to the iO West Theater, in Hollywood, to observe the latest performance of, "Comic Book Live," and have some fun and great laughs! (This performance was entitled, "Batman Holiday Comedy Special.")
Industry photographers Dominic and Gordon Mui were in the audience on this night as well as my sweet and sexy friend Elizabeth 'Liz' Ebeling as she almost always is.
This performance of, "Comic Book Live," was a hilarious spoof of what might happen if Batman were to give a large party which was attended by friends and foes alike.
The cast of this night's performance consisted of: Brandon Barrick as the Joker, Tommy Bechtold as Robin, Brett Butler as Bane, Peter Fluet as Batman's butler Alfred, Chris Gore as Batman, adult film star Justine Joli as Poison Ivy, Markeia McCarty as Catwoman, Patrick Ian Moore as Green Arrow, Derek Reid as Two Face, Dustin Sterling as Commissioner Gordon, and Canon Wing as Harley Quinn. And the special guest star for this performance was none other than adult film star and adult entertainment industry Jill-of-all-trades Nicki Hunter as Batgirl!
This performance had the largest audience I've ever seen for any of the shows I've attended at the iO West Theater up to now. I don't think there were more than five or six empty seats in the entire theater!
Also, this performance of, "Comic Book Live," was very much deserving of a packed house. Yes, it was that good! In fact, the improv performers not only kept the audience laughing on a virtually continuous basis, but they even caused each other to crack up frequently! (Come on people, let's pack the house for every performance of, "Glory Stories," and, "Comic Book Live." Both shows are a lot of fun and fill the house with lots of good laughter!)
The next performance of, "Glory Stories & Improv Orgy," will take place at the iO West Theater, in Hollywood, at 11PM, Friday, December 28, 2012.
"Comic Book Live," will next be performed at the iO West Theater, at 11:30PM, Saturday, January 12, 2013.
