The Baroness of New York

by: Company Press Release

New York's premier designer of elegant, provocative latex fashions fetish expert, performer, writer, lecturer.

(NEW YORK, NY) -- The Baroness is New York's premier designer of Elegant, Provocative Latex Fashions and an authority on human sexuality and lifestyle choices. She is an international celebrity spokesperson whose expertise includes the dynamics of women & power, ritual and dress, and lifestyle options including fetish and SM.

As a featured lecturer and celebrity spokesperson, the Baroness has appeared on a variety of national programs including HBO's Real sex, ABC's Television Special What Makes America Great, the Playboy Channel, A&E, E Entertainment, and Gay Cable TV. Her impact extends into the international market with programs in Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Japan, Central America and Canada. In addition, she has lectured around the U.S. For various organizations including the Learning Annex, the Eulenspiegel Society, Dressing for Pleasure, and Tower Books and Video.

The Baroness, her work, and her designs can be found in the soon to be released, 400 Years of sex in New York, and the sex Handbook. Her column on the fashions and news of the East Coast fetish scene, a View from the Castle was a regular feature in Black & Blue, the Vault, and Marquis magazines. Currently the Baroness writes for PenthouseFetish.com and is putting the final touches on her book, Taking Control; the Art of Feminine Dominance.

Her style, intellect, and humorous delivery made the Baroness a compelling spokesperson for New York's notorious 3-day Erotica expo. These same skills have led to other hosting opportunities including Celebrity MC for the Ms. New York Fetish competition three years running, and New York's Exotique Erotic Ball. After New York's 9-11 Trade Towers disaster, the Baroness hosted and ran benefits for the Red Cross, raising both money and much needed supplies.

Best selling fashion author Valerie Steel interviewed the Baroness for her book, Fetish, Fashion, sex & Power. Hot New York author Elissa Wald was inspired to write her first book, Meeting the Master upon introduction to the Baroness. Tim Haft featured the Baroness in his Guide To the Red Hot Apple and included her on the book's promotional tour. Mademoiselle Magazine sought her advice for the article, Bring him to his knees, how to be a sex Goddess or just act like one. And TimeOut NY featured the Baroness and her latex fashions twice in their annual "Best of sex" issue.

Standouts from past fashion shows include: The Baroness' latex Angel complete with surgical-glove wings created for the Goddess Ball and called "A highlight of the show" by the Village Voice. A latex western wear ho down, Valentines Day heartbreakers in sexy latex dresses adorned with pink and red hearts, and Santa's helpers decked in red and green latex trimmed with feathers and fur. At Jamaica's Hedonism Ii, in the exotic finale of her tropical fashion show the Baroness, resplendent in a glistening latex mermaid ensemble complete with fish tail and seaweed corset, was conveyed about the stage by a procession of tanned models in latex cabana suits and hibiscus appliquéd sundresses.

More recently, the Baroness launched her Couture "Fit for Royalty" line at New York's Black and Blue Ball. Inspired by the belle époque, the decadent court of the Sun King, and the mysterious orient, this extravaganza was created for the serious dressing enthusiast. It was theatrically staged in the romantic setting of a bygone era's grand ballroom. The men, dressed in voluminous poets' shirts, bejeweled court coats and elaborate formal wear, posed and preened like peacocks as the ladies in their stunning and opulent latex gowns fanned themselves and sipped champagne.

To satisfy her lifelong fantasy "to dress up a roomful of people and just look at them" the Baroness created her own series of parties, starting with the Royal Amusements. This annual gala event with a strict dress code of fetish finery or formal wear draws attendees from around the globe. She followed this success with "The Kinky Costume Ball", a wild and triumphant Halloween celebration. With the Baroness' background in film, her progression to Fetish / SM performer was inevitable. Always creative and visually exciting, each show is different and unique, but the Baroness' style is always evident with her love of color and unusual latex designs. Performances have included human candelabras, mummified liquid sculpture, bizarre inflatable bodies, rubber nurses, and her "Taming the Tiger" piece in the Cyber Fetish Circus seen in New York, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia. For two years she has organized and booked talent for the Sound Factory's huge annual SM Ball, where she also performed before a packed house of 15,000 revelers.

Committed to spreading knowledge and healing, the Baroness donates time, energy and fashions to countless fund-raisers and benefits. Her efforts to help raise awareness about human sexuality and lifestyle choices combined with her support to the community, resulted in her being asked to represent the Leather Museum and Archive as New York City's Regional Coordinator.
