(TORONTO, ONTARIO) -- Ra Media Enterprises is proud to announce the upcoming release of the feature-length comedy DVD "South Pole Invasion" (SouthPoleInvasion.com). Featuring XXX stars Mike South, Felicia Fox, Tim Case and a bevy of Canadian starlets marking their maiden entry into the world of hardcore features. The DVD will be released in mid November.
The South Pole Invasion is a hilarious romp documenting a typical day in the life of a porn shoot. What's not so typical is that all of the hilarious off-the-cuff tidbits and bloopers were kept in the scenes. Each scene is a sincere slice of reality, as it were.
It may also be the first time where you'll see the editors' comments, replete with sub-title commentary. It'll have your finger on the rewind button as opposed to the ritual fast-forward routine!
Conceptually, think of the old 70's sitcom "Love American Style", only with a hardcore production value and without scripted dialog. The result will have you chuckling and watching this reality-based DVD feature again and again!
"South Pole Invasion" also features the dirty musical ditty "The South Pole Boogie" as the theme song. A PG rated music video for the theme (performed by the porn/rock band Wank Punter - WankPunter.com) was shot and directed by award-winning mainstream auteur Aaron Wells and taped on location in West Palm Beach, Florida.
A hardcore version of the music video will be included as part of the bonus content on the Feature DVD.
Ra-Media's "South Pole Invasion" was produced by Marshall Stack and directed by Mike South and shot on location in Toronto and Las Vegas. The band Wank Punter was produced in Toronto by Marshall Stack and Norm Barker (Canadian Juno award-winning producer/engineer - Studio 92).
This may be the first time a musical concept has been developed and packaged as an expressed means to promote adult feature video content. The band Wank Punter was created and developed to support and market the "South Pole Invasion" DVD.
"We wanted to approach a new generation of potential porn enthusiasts by using music/comedy/humour as a creative bridge," said Stack. "We believe that our product will attract the next generation of consumers based upon its exceptional entertainment value. Moreover, for a limited time only, each DVD will be packaged with the audio CD from the band as a bonus offer.
It's a full length CD comprising of 13 songs. 6 of them are utilized in the movie as part of the underscore. The band is hip and funny - not to mention visually outrageous, and the audio CD rocks! Stylistically, they are a cross between ZZ Top and Frank Zappa."
