Steel Web Studios premieres its debut hardcore DVD SlaughterDisc: Tales from the Carnal Morgue on March 19th at a private screening in a San Diego theatre. Pre-sales for the DVD will start on the same day at SlaughterDisc.com, with discs scheduled to ship in April.

"This is something really different," said writer/director David Quitmeyer. "There's real acting. There are real effects. It's a full-on actual movie."

Though Steel Web has been secretive about the plot of SlaughterDisc, the movie has been billed as a post-modern erotic horror story about a porn addict caught up in the destructive grips of his addiction. When he purchases an adult DVD from a mysterious woman, he is sucked into a deadly downward spiral of horrifying events. "People start dying," Quitmeyer explained, "And all sorts of crazy stuff starts to happen." the movie combines Gothic punk slasher violence with explicit hardcore sex scenes. Robert Williams plays the porn addict, while the female lead is played by Caroline Pierce, who has appeared in dozens of triple-X features, including John Stagliano's 2002 S&M opus the Fashionistas.

Special effects also play a role, said Quitmeyer. "Even the special effects people that were there, when we'd watch the footage back at the end of the day, they were actually reacting to their own stuff. They couldn't believe their own product came out looking as real as it did."

Since the SlaughterDisc website went up last November, over 10,000 have subscribed to the site's mailing list. "We're getting fan mail for a product people have only seen glimpses of," said Quitmeyer. Cast and crew will be promoting the movie at horror film festivals across the country, as well as the 2005 Comic-Con, held July 14-17 in San Diego. SlaughterDisc will also be featured in an upcoming issue of the horror magazine Fangoria.

This is the first DVD in the Carnal Morgue series for Steel Web Studios and Quitmeyer, who is also co-owner of Ramco Productions, a San Diego-based production company. With his partner Chris Spoto, Ramco recently premiered the hardcore DVD Clown Porn (the Movie), the first release for their comedy porn franchise.
