(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- ASACP (ASACP.org) is the organization that helps the adult site industry make a difference in the battle against child pornography (CP). ASACP provides a self-regulatory vehicle for its members through a Code of Ethics that promotes the protection of children through responsible, professional business practices (ASACP.org/bestpractices.html).

There are two main ways that the adult entertainment industry can both protect itself and the children. The first which is required by law is to have correct 2257 documentation, then refer to it and the custodial of records on the home page of each site. The other is not required by law, but is something that upsets parents and continues to garner negative media attention - having adult material on a home page where children can unknowingly view it. This is why ASACP has added this item to the Best Practices (ASACP.org/bestpractices.html), "On Index (warning) page: include all disclaimers, age verification, etc and exclude images to prevent children from unknowingly viewing adult material.'
