Josh Slocums Restaurant (Rodman's Restaurant) in Newport Beach, CA is the location for a party to celebrate the video release of "Dennis Rodman's Strippers Ball." It's along the lines of the "Girls Gone Wild" series, except that your host is Dennis Rodman and the girls range from strippers to housewives.

10:00pm: I make my way into the restaurant. There is a huge line of people waiting at the door, I see an opening and head to the front of the line. The guy with the list lets me in as soon as I mention my contact's name; Bill Fisher.

I have heard of this club, but never actually been here. It's what you would expect from Dennis. It has chandeliers on the ceilings, dim lighting, loud music, purple accents everywhere, beautiful bar maids serving drinks, and huge bouncers watching out for trouble. The back of the restaurant snuggles up to the docks, where yachts are docked outside and others are passing by.

In the back corner there are cameras and lights setup, but no Rodman. I walk around and see a lot of beautiful ladies dancing to the hip music. According to the invite, expected to attend is Magic Johnson, Mickey Rourke, and Jamie Fox. After a walk around I go back outside to watch the arrivals. The line is building and I notice some beautiful ladies talking to the doorman. He's tough but eventually the beautiful people get in. Next to me is a pretty blonde who acts as the cashier and collects a cover charge of $20 from every patron. It makes me glad to be a member of the porn press.

11:50pm: Mr. Rodman appears from a private area in the club. He parts the dance floor, shaking hands with the crowd, as he makes his way to the interview area. He smiles at the beautiful ladies in the crowd. I watch this and wonder; he's rich, famous, and owns this club, why doesn't he just make a video of all the pussy he gets here every night. There is enough talent in this club tonight to give the Vivid girls some competition. Dennis sits down, wearing a black cap, smoking a cigar, and the camera's start to roll as they begin to interview Dennis about the video. I say hello, shoot a few photos, say good-bye and head back to the Valley. If I didn't have such a long drive home, I would have stayed longer. Leaving the club, I can't help but wonder if Dennis will ever perform in a XXX porn flick? It's a natural step for the ex-NBA star nicknamed the "Worm."
