(DURHAM, NC) -- Ever wonder what goes on at one of those "adults only" home parties? More than 40 women recently got together in Durham, NC, to boost both their marketing and sexuality knowledge for upcoming parties scheduled all across America.
Adam & Eve's adult home party business, Temptations Parties, held its First Annual Distributor Conference at the Durham Hilton in Durham, North Carolina, over the weekend of June 8, 2002.
With a focus on sexual intimacy and health, marketing, and businesses expansion, as well as to review the new product considerations for the upcoming Temptations Parties catalog, the weekend was packed with information and inspiration. Adult film director and sex-positive feminist Candida Royalle and Dr. Mark Schoen from the esteemed Sinclair Intimacy Institute spoke to the group on topics of "Human Sexuality and Sexual Empowerment in a Woman's World."
A poolside reception was held for those who arrived the day before the beginning of the conference. On Saturday, the schedule was packed all day, with discussions and panels, where after the conference was given a special tour of PHE, Inc (Adam & Eve) and then headed off to the Durham Bulls baseball game.
Marlene Janssen, director for Temptations Parties, was excited about the conference. "The conference was a tremendous success! The feedback received has been phenomenal," she said. "One distributor booked a party the moment she stepped out of her cab in NYC, suitcase still in hand! Our "oldest" distributor, Annette Lance (67) of Winston-Salem, NC, won the grand prize of a trip for two to Grand Lido Braco in Jamaica (thanks to sponsor SuperClubs) and was so excited she went home, still afloat, and booked three parties."
