Ken, one could write volumes on this subject, but this is an advice column not a Beauty College. So I will keep it simple. Before you pick up that razor you must prep the area to be shaved. Just like you prep your own beard -I hope- so must you hers. Try sitting in a Sauna or a Hot Tub before to get the hairs to stand up. Then I would recommend trimming the longer hairs first with a round point scissors. Once you have clipped it down close you may proceed with the shave. I personally do not like electric razors, too noisy! I would recommend a triple blade razor with a floating head.
