Porn in 2011 from Monica Foster
It looks like 2011 is off to a great start for the porn industry, with the AVN awards just around the corner. Unfortunately I will not be attending this year, however on Friday's broadcast of www.MonicaAtHome.com I'll be going over my personal favorites in the primary awards categories.
One of the new trends I've noticed amongst top performers such as Dale DeBone - who stars in X-plays latest parody "Not the Bionic Woman / 6 Million Dollar Man XXX," is the alignment of their adult industry persona's with sexual aids and nutritional sexual enhancement products.
I have a feeling that 2011 may be a year of "comeback" stories as well. Many of my live broadcast chat room viewers consistently question "what happened to so-and-so". Being that 2010 was a bit of a downturn for the porn industry, I feel that many of the hot stars that quickly garnered a lot of attention and notoriety, but due to unforeseen events ran for the hills ó may return later in 2011 to give the porn industry another try once things stabilize a bit and the studios who have hung in there begin churning out quality features consistently once more.
One thing I've learned from running my weekly broadcast of Monica At Home is that "mainstream society" does and probably always will have a fascination with the true inner workings of the adult entertainment industry. I hope that as that adult business restructures and cleans itself up a bit, the veil of mystery will be lifted a tad so that the mainstream world will realize that the porn industry is something they can enjoy and feel a bit more comfortable with.
