Pink Visual RTA PSA for ASACP

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has released a new public service announcement (PSA) for the Restricted to Adults (RTA™) Website Label; this time featuring Pink Visual President Allison Vivas.

The PSA features Vivas reminding companies to protect children and to protect their business by labeling with RTA and is available for viewing on YouTube.com/Asacprta. Pink Visual voluntarily produced the video for ASACP, shooting and editing the clip in-house.

Previous PSA’s encouraged parents to enable parental filtering to protect their children from viewing age-restricted content. The new PSA is part of a campaign featuring industry business leaders reminding companies about the benefits of labeling with the award-winning RTA label. This new campaign previously featured a print advertisement with Michael Klein, President of LFP Inc/Hustler; as well as an international outreach effort with Mickey Bojcsik of Adult Webmaster Empire (AWE).

''I am very grateful to Allison Vivas and Pink Visual for producing this PSA for RTA,'' stated ASACP CEO Joan Irvine. ''They have supported ASACP and its online child protection since 2002; in fact, they are a Founding Sponsor.''

''One of ASACP’s goals is to educate people about what they can do to help in this effort and a PSA such as the one Pink Visual produced is a great tool,'' Irvine added. ''Allison is a well respected executive who directs a company that is always on the cutting edge of technology.''

''As a longtime supporter of ASACP and its RTA program, Pink Visual felt that this PSA would highlight the association’s child protection efforts while encouraging other companies to adopt the technology,'' Vivas stated. ''Proactive industry self-regulation, such as the use of RTA labels, demonstrates that responsible adult companies can work together to do the right thing.''

This latest PSA highlights the release of RTA labeling for adult mobile apps — an arena in which Pink Visual is a recognized market leader.

''Pink Visual was one of the first companies to develop mobile applications,'' Irvine concluded. ''This is why we knew that it was imperative to launch the new RTA Label/Filter for Android Mobile Apps with Allison in the PSA.''

RTA is the adult entertainment industry’s initiative to protect children from viewing content that is age-restricted. It was developed by ASACP out of a need for an easy to use and internationally recognized label that designates content for adults only.

The RTA label is a unique string of ''meta data'' which can easily be inserted into the computer code of any website’s Html or mobile app offering. If parents have installed parental filtering software and setup the features in Microsoft or Apple operating systems, children are prevented from viewing age-restricted content. November 2006 and currently over 4.5 million sites are labeled with RTA. From a recent poll of these companies, there are conservatively over 6.5 billion visitors per month to pages labeled with RTA.

The ASACP RTA program was honored by the American Society of Association Executives and the Center for Association Leadership by being named the 2008 overall winner of the Associations Make a Better World award. ASACP has received Certificates of Recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives, California State Senate, California State Assembly, and the cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, West Hollywood, and Redondo Beach acknowledging ASACP’s efforts to help parents prevent their children from viewing age-restricted content with the RTA website label.

Founded in 1996, ASACP is a non-profit organization dedicated to online child protection. ASACP comprises of two separate corporate entities, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection and the ASACP Foundation. The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization. ASACP manages a membership program that provides resources to companies in order to help them protect children online. The ASACP Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The ASACP Foundation battles child pornography through its Cp Reporting Hotline and helps parents prevent children from viewing age-restricted material online with its Restricted to Adults (RTA) Website Label. ASACP is the only association in the world that coordinates the adult entertainment industry’s efforts to protect children online. It has spent more than 14 years creating progressive programs to protect children. ASACP’ s relationship in assisting the adult industry’s child protection efforts is unparalleled.

Companies and individuals interested in supporting ASACP may visit www.ASACP.org for more information on how to get involved.
