Tom Dong Murdered

Tom Dong, aka Herbert Wong, was slashed and stabbed to death with a sword by someone who appeared to be his friend. They would car pool to shoots together, worked together at the studio, and were seen together socially. By all outward appearances one would think everything was fine.
Dong was one of the few Asian men in the Industry who worked regularly, and was reportedly strong talent, but had not performed in many high budget productions. The overwhelming ''why'' in this equation -- the why Steve Driver would attack and kill his friend with a sword -- may never be answered.
Daejha Milan was Dong's former roommate for over a year. She adds pieces to this puzzle. It appears that Driver attacked a co-worker names Chris, and that Dong and another co-worker, Eric, ran to break up the fight. Currently no one yet knows why Driver snapped.
On further investigation it's been discovered that others have been threatened by Driver. He has allegedly had fits of anger when denied movie rolls he felt he deserved, and threatened to kill the producer, who didn't take him seriously because ''he appeared to be a respectful and friendly guy.''
I didn't know Tom Dong, but had met Steve Driver at different parties and events over the past couple of years. Steve seemed like an OK guy who was trying very hard to get recognized and get his name out there. He actually carried around pictures of himself in hard-core action, and would want to show them to me wherever we happened to meet. I just thought he was overly aggressive in trying to promote himself. He seemed friendly, though a pocket full of porn pics starring one's self is kind of creepy. I was blind-sided by the news of him killing Tom!
Dong's family is currently local to the greater Los Angeles area and didn't know the full extent of what he did for a living. May his many Industry friends join his family to mourn a hard worker and all around good guy.
