(CENTURY CITY, CA) -- Sin City is proud to announce that Michael Raven won the Director of the Year (Body of Work) Award at the 17th Annual XRCO Awards Show on Thursday night at the Century Club in Century City. Raven was up against some stiff competition, but easily won the award, voted on by the jaded and knowledgeable member critics of the organization who, as master of ceremonies Jeremy Stone noted, vote with their dicks, not their wallets.
This award comes on the heels of Raven's AVN Award for Best Director for his Watchers. Evan Stone won for Male Performer of the Year, a repeat of his AVN success, and once again, we like to take some credit for his victory since we cast him in many of our projects. Dillion Day, another of our favorite performers, won for Best New Stud. To all of the other winners of XRCO awards, we offer our warm congratulations, and to those who didn't win, we wish you the best of luck next year.
Last year is proving to be Raven's year, and we feel he certainly deserves the recognition. But if 2000 saw his rise to prominence, 2001 will see him established as a major force in adult entertainment. His retelling of the Orpheus myth, Underworld, received AVN's highest rating in the April issue, and later this month his long awaited, controversial Beast
hits the market, and is sure to win several awards next year. And there's more to come. We're only a third of the way through the first year of the new millennium! For more information on Raven, his win, Sin City and our other releases, log on to our website, www.sincityfilms.com.
