(TORONTO, ONTARIO) -- Digital Rooster.com Inc. ("ROOS") an international leader in the electronic distribution of adult multimedia entertainment is pleased to announce a 45% increase in sales for the nine months ended December 31, 2000 compared to the nine months ended December 31, 1999.
Revenue was $486,924 for the third quarter ended December 31, 2000 compared to $554,108 for the same period last year, a 12% decrease. This decrease for the quarter ended December 31, 2000 was expected as Management is shifting its focus to membership sites. A significant increase in revenue from membership sites is expected following strategic traffic agreements to become effective by Q1 Fiscal 2002.
There was an increase in gross profit of 107% for the nine months ended December 31, 2000 compared to the nine months ended December 31, 1999. Gross profit totaled $327,696 for the third quarter period ended December 31,2000 from $307,696 in the same period last year and net loss increased to $338,224 for the third quarter period ended December 31,2000 from $139,625 in the same period last year. Digital Rooster's fiscal year ends March 31, 2001.
Commenting on the Third Quarter results Lex van Arem, chairman and CEO said: "It is my view that with some of the recent agreements the Company has entered into, we will see significant growth in the future. We anticipate to benefit significantly from an expected increase of traffic directed to our pay sites."
