SIN CITY WINS TOP AWARD AT THE 2001 AVN AWARDS SHOW

(LAS VEGAS, NV) -- Sin City is proud to announce that Michael Raven's Watchers won the most prestigious award at the AVN Awards Show last Monday night, Best Picture-Film.
Raven's masterwork also won awards for Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor, (Randy Spears) and Best Editing-Film. But it didn't stop there. Sin City also won Best All-Sex Film for Raven's Erotica. Our favorite male performer, Evan Stone, won Best Actor-Film for his riveting portrayal of a sex-crazed drifter in Adrenaline, directed by, yes, Michael Raven--again. Is this guy talented or what?
Evan also won for Male Performer of the Year, and his girlfriend, and our contract girl, Jessica Drake, won the award for Best Tease Performance. In total, we won six awards, and we like to think we helped both Evan and Jessica win their non-Sin City awards. After all, we cast them in every other show we shoot.
2000 was an extraordinarily productive and creative year for us, and our efforts were amply rewarded last week. When we were shooting Watchers, we knew it was going to be a remarkable film, even a masterpiece, but even we were surprised at the number of awards we won. Michael Raven put in long hours on the set, and even more in the editing bay to fashion this astounding piece of moviemaking. Of course, he started with an excellent script. But then, it had to be. He co-wrote it.
Watchers is the story of a renegade cult who stalk and kill prostitutes for their own sinister purposes. The police are clueless and powerless to stop them. Only one man has a solution. Damien Fitzpatrick, played by Mike Horner, is an amateur sleuth who dabbles in the occult. He knows where the Watchers are and how to stop them. When the police turn a deaf ear to his pleas, he launches his own investigation, with dark and sexual results.
Watchers was our top seller for the year. We sold more copies of it than any other of our releases, and that's saying something.
