Grindhouse Midnight Grind Tonight

Join us on Saturday at midnight as we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the New Beverly Cinema with a special program of vintage 1970's and early 80's XXX footage from the attic. And we literally mean from the attic, as these reels were discovered when the storage area above the projection booth was cleaned out during a recent renovation.
Partially dating back to the New Beverly's previous incarnation as an adult theater, these long buried reels consist of a number of incomplete feature films (including the amazing Marilyn Chambers film Insatiable) that we've strung together with some trailers and shorts into a mind-boggling mashup of hairy bodies and sweaty flesh.
This incredible program consists of over two and a half hours of vintage 35mm footage with such classic adult stars as Marilyn Chambers, John Holmes, Serena, Harry Reems, Colleen Brennan, Jesie St. James, Angel, Hershel Savage, Rhonda Jo Petty, Cara Lott, R. Bolla, Karen Summer, Lynx Canon and Cody Nicole. We're also hoping to have a couple of special guests at the event.
If we draw an audience this will be the start of a monthly midnight series presenting rare 35mm prints of classic 1970's XXX films. We've shown biker films, women in prison films, kung fu, Italian zombies, gore classics... And now we present the missing piece of the classic 42nd Street film experience.
Here's your chance to see golden-age adult films projected on the big screen as they were meant to be seen, surrounded by other fans and freaks. Since the rise of home-video and the internet the viewing of adult films has largely become a lonely solo pursuit, but there was a time when it was a social experience shared with others (which, we admit, could occasionally be somewhat bizarre and brain- damaging). We think it's time to bring porn out of the privacy of the home and back into theaters where it belongs. So shut down your PC, unplug that DVD player, and come out to the New Beverly on Saturday for the full vintage porn experience!
Bring a date, bring yo' ma, bring a dirty old man... fun for all! Happy endings not guaranteed, but always a possibility...
As usual the evening will begin with our world-famous free raffle of assorted trash and treasures (and lots of porn). All of this for only $7.00, in the company of a crowd of enthusiastic fellow fans and assorted maniacs and perverts.
