What is really important? Perhaps it's remembering things that really matter. And what then matters? Isn't life more worth living when you are happy?
This year's inductees in order of induction were Georgina Spelvin, Jody Maxwell, Paul Thomas, Fred Lincoln, Tiffany Mynx and Cara Lott, Bill Margold hosting.
They were devoted to making something that gave them a purpose and meaning to their lives. They made more of a gift than a product - a gift of feeling good about things. The Legends of Erotica Hall of Fame inductions held Friday, January 6 at Showgirl Video was a remembrance of the people instrumental in the formation of the Adult Entertainment Business as we know it. Slabs of cement destined to outlast mere human memory hold the imprints of body parts and prose from the inductees are now covering the walls of Ray Pistol's Showgirl Video in Las Vegas making the little place more of a museum than a peep palace.
The description of shows like this are typical - a narration of what, who, when in chronological order, spiced by tidbits and quotes. What most stories miss is the feeling one gets by being there. That's what journalists try to convey. Do you really want to know what it was like? Watch some of the movies these greats acted in, directed and produced. Now imagine the stories they can tell about the interaction that went on both on and off camera. Imagine them older but the fire within still burning brightly. Now plan on attending next year and seeing history for yourself.
