Now, Cambio is taking that technology to banks and credit unions as an API that can assist them with sales calls.

• Quilter raises $10 million for AI-powered circuit board design, led by Benchmark - Circuit board design startup Quilter announced on Tuesday it raised $10 million, saying it would use artificial intelligence to reduce the time to design components that power electronics in rockets, computers, smartphones and other devices.

• The way AI will be sold to a skeptical public is starting to become clear - A majority of the American public is skeptical about artificial intelligence, and the companies advertising are attempting to humanize the technology. AI’s debut as a major theme in Super Bowl ads demonstrated that "pretty soon it will be as pervasive as mobile or the internet or electricity”.

• Bret Taylor’s new AI company aims to help customers get answers and complete tasks automatically - Former Salesforce co-CEO Bret Taylor's new company created a new conversational AI company called Sierra. The company claims it's more than a chatbot by actually taking actions on behalf of the customer. Sierra agents can take action using your systems, from upgrading a subscription in your customer database to managing the complexities of a furniture delivery in your order management system.

• US Patent Office: AI is all well and good, but only humans can patent things - The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office declared that, as with other intellectual property, only a person can receive its official protections. The guidance document (PDF) specifies that for clear legal reasons “patents function to incentivize and reward human ingenuity,” only “natural humans” can be awarded patents.

• SoftBank Shares Climb Again With Arm’s Explosive AI Rally - Arm’s shares rose 29% on Monday, pushing its gains to more than 90% since it reported financial results on Feb. 7. The company is expanding beyond its traditional base in smartphone technology into new markets like artificial intelligence applications, lifting its outlook.

• Microsoft tests Windows 11 ‘Super Resolution’ AI-upscaling for gamers - Microsoft is testing a new "Automatic Super Resolution" AI-assisted upscaling feature that increases the video and image quality of supported games while also making them run more smoothly.

• The White House wants to 'cryptographically verify' videos of Joe Biden so viewers don't mistake them for deepfakes - Ben Buchanan, Biden's Special Advisor for Artificial Intelligence, said that the White House is working on a way to verify all of its official communications due to the rise in fake generative-AI content. The aim is to "essentially cryptographically verify" everything from the White House, whether a statement or a video.
