  • Anthropic releases Claude 3 Haiku - their fastest model yet - With state-of-the-art vision capabilities and strong performance on industry benchmarks, Haiku is a versatile solution for a wide range of enterprise applications. The model is now available alongside Sonnet and Opus in the Claude API and on claude.ai for our Claude Pro subscribers.

  • Blockchain tech could be the answer to uncovering deepfakes and validating content - Recently, Fox Corp. partnered with Polygon Labs, the team behind the Ethereum-focused layer-2 blockchain, to tackle deepfake distrust. They launched Verify, a protocol that aims to protect their IP while letting consumers verify the authenticity of content.   • Researchers develop AI-driven tool for near real-time cancer surveillance - In partnership with the National Cancer Institute researchers from the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Louisiana State University developed a long-sequenced AI transformer capable of processing millions of pathology reports to provide experts researching cancer diagnoses and management with exponentially more accurate information on cancer reporting.

  • Morgan Stanley names a head of artificial intelligence as Wall Street leans into AI - Morgan Stanley promoted a tech executive in its wealth management division to become the bank’s first head of firm-wide Artificial Intelligence. Jeff McMillan, a veteran of the New York-based bank, to help guide its implementation of AI across the firm. Morgan Stanley became the first major Wall Street firm to create a solution for employees based on OpenAI’s GPT-4, a project overseen by McMillan.

  • Adobe stock tumbles most since 2022 as AI competition heats up - The stock's drop is largely attributable to revenue guidance for the second quarter coming in lighter than Wall Street had expected.
